Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: Degree in a relevant subject area Experience in creating automated processes for OS deployments, patch management, software distribution, and policy configurations in a networked desktop/mobility environment Demonstrable experience in at least three of the following areas: - Cloud technologies - Mobile Device Management technologies (e.g., Endpoint Manager/Jamf Pro) - MECM configuration including Image Deployment, Application Packaging, Patch Management - Delivery of Desktop as a Service and/or VDI solutions with modern Cloud approaches - Management of Endpoint Protection Platforms including Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Next Generation Detection tools Scripting experience, preferably PowerShell Experience supporting and developing desktop and mobile technologies and their application profiles Evidence of End User Compute service design, testing, operational delivery, and service monitoring Responsibilities: Lead the development of end user compute services as a technical specialist Lead teams of technical staff on project-led service development activities Proactively monitor, maintain, test, and enhance the resilience of managed desktop and mobile device management services Design, test, and transition new and enhanced services into operational use Manage and coordinate evaluation and investigation activities to support integration and adoption of corporate approved technology platforms Initiate and execute centralized service management responsibilities and performance monitoring Maintain, manage, and develop endpoint management platforms, endpoint security, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Research, develop, promote, and support endpoint management and deployment technologies Automate processes including application deployments and management using major scripting languages Provide technical consultancy and support to ICT staff Manage secure configuration and deployment of tailored policies for effective endpoint protection Act as a technical liaison with maintenance and service providers to resolve operational problems Function as the primary technical resource and trusted advisor Technologies: Architect Cloud ICT Support Mobile PowerShell Security Network More: We are an educational organization based in Belfast, seeking to recruit an End User Compute Architect to enhance our excellent team.
