Actemium Automation Hampshire, part of VINCI Energies, is looking for a skilled Software Controls Systems Engineer to design, develop and commission PLC/SCADA/HMI solutions for clients in manufacturing, process and regulated sectors. You’ll join a supportive, wellbeing‑focused team within a global group known for safety, innovation and professional growth.
What You’ll Do
* Develop and deliver control system software from design to handover
* Configure PLCs, SCADA and industrial comms networks
* Conduct FAT/SAT testing, commissioning and site integration
* Provide documentation, technical support and system updates
* Collaborate with clients and multi‑disciplinary teams
* Contribute to continuous improvement and shared standards
What You’ll Bring
* Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell/AB, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens)
* SCADA/HMI development skills (Aveva System Platform)
* Knowledge of industrial comms (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus, OPC/UA)
* Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and within project teams
* Degree in Controls/Software/Electronics or similar (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Experience in regulated industries (Water, Oil & Gas)
* Knowledge of ISA‑88/95, GAMP, MES, Python or SQL
