Work as a member of the therapeutic radiography team, covering CT scanning, virtual simulation, contouring and the delivery of both simple and complex treatment and IGRT techniques. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team, assist with the day‑to‑day organisation of the CT and treatment units to ensure an efficient service and achieve workload targets, and supervise, support and teach junior staff and students.
Responsibilities
* Deliver safe and effective radiotherapy using techniques such as SABR, VMAT and DIBH.
* Provide treatment and IGRT techniques across the department.
* Liaise with multidisciplinary team members.
* Organise the CT and treatment unit operations to meet targets.
* Supervise, support and train junior staff and students.
Required Qualifications
* BSc (Honors) in Radiotherapy.
* HCPC registered Therapeutic Radiographer.
* Knowledge of HCPC standards of conduct.
* Recent clinical experience within radiotherapy and the NHS.
* Experience of paid employment, full or part‑time.
* Experience of Varian equipment including linacs, virtual simulation and Eclipse treatment‑planning system.
* Experience with SGRT and core knowledge of radiotherapy equipment and techniques.
* General understanding of computerised treatment‑planning systems.
* Core knowledge of radiation dosimetry and radiotherapy treatment planning principles.
* Core knowledge of imaging equipment and principles.
* Understanding of malignant tumour disease processes.
* Knowledge of Ionising Radiation Regulations and professional responsibilities.
* Good anatomical knowledge.
* Appropriate UK professional registration.

* Good technical and manual dexterity skills for operating sophisticated equipment.
