An excellent opportunity for a Hygiene Assistant Manager to join a busy FMCG manufacturing site. The role supports the Hygiene Manager and site teams to maintain hygiene standards, GMP compliance, and audit readiness. The successful candidate will also support the development of hygiene supervisors and operatives while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000
Shift: 45 hours per week, Monday to Saturday

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Hygiene Manager and wider site teams to ensure hygiene standards, GMP compliance, and audit readiness are maintained to the highest standards.
* Support the development of hygiene supervisors and operatives.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
* Prepare for and support external audits including BRC.
Qualifications
Non‑Negotiable Requirements
* Previous experience within a hygiene role in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
* Experience supervising or leading hygiene teams within a manufacturing environment.
* Hands‑on experience preparing for and supporting external audits including BRC.
Requirements
* Strong understanding of hygiene standards, GMP, and factory compliance.
* HACCP Level 3 qualification.
* Experience managing hygiene schedules, procedures, and validation processes.
* Good understanding of allergen management and hygiene risk assessments.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and documentation creation.
Desirable Requirements
* Internal auditing experience.
* Knowledge of pest management systems.
* Experience coaching and developing teams.
* Experience working with KPI reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
