Overview
This is a Full-Time post providing 10 Programmed Activities (PAs). Applicants wishing to work part-time are also encouraged to apply and job plans will be adjusted accordingly, and by negotiation with appointees. The post will be based in stroke medicine, supporting ward rounds on the stroke unit and acute thrombolysis sessions and sessions in the TIA clinic. On call commitments will be supporting the middle grade acute medicine on call rota. Full details on the on call rota can be provided on request, it includes a 1 in 23 participation in the rota. If candidates are wishing to pursue a joint Stroke plus another speciality post please apply.
Responsibilities
* Support ward rounds on the Stroke Unit and on acute thrombolysis sessions.
* Participate in sessions in the TIA clinic as required.
* Support the middle grade acute medicine on call rota (1 in 23).
* Support Hyper Acute Stroke, Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation wards to support consultant-led ward rounds.
* Support acute thrombolysis, supported by a specialist nursing team and stroke consultant TIA clinics; frequency of each to be determined by service need following negotiation with the successful applicant.
* Opportunity for a joint Stroke plus another speciality post if desired.
