Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team including Evening and Carvery chefs. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in culinary arts, with excellent relevant experience and managing food production. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating high standard, delicious dishes while ensuring food safety and maintaining high standards of quality in the kitchen. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment which includes weekend working.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
* Foster a positive team atmosphere.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
* Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* A passion for cooking.
* Culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
