Job Description
This is an Audit Manager role with a focus on FCA CASS compliance, particularly Chapters 6 and 7. The position is based primarily at my client’s Watford office and offers the opportunity to lead audits for a varied portfolio of regulated entities, supporting the continued growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leading audits from planning through to completion, with a particular focus on CASS audits, including testing controls around client money and custody assets.
• Managing on-site audit teams and reviewing work to ensure compliance with FCA CASS rules (Chapters 6 & 7) and audit standards.
• Preparing planning documentation, completion procedures, risk assessments, and management letters for FCA-regulated clients.
• Assisting with the training and supervision of junior staff, including on-the-job coaching related to CASS-specific audit procedures.
• Supporting senior managers and principals with technical queries, file reviews, and CASS-related documentation.
Candidate Requirements:
• ACA or ACCA qualified (essential).
• At least 2 years’ audit experience within a UK accountancy firm.
• Practical experience auditing FCA-regulated firms with a strong understanding of CASS 6 and 7.
• Able to identify CASS control weaknesses and provide practical, compliant recommendations.
• Strong IT skills and familiarity with accounting and audit software packages.
Employment Details:
• Full-time role – Monday to Friday (2 days hybrid available)
