Description
In this role, as an Assistant Accountant you'll be a key part of the finance team, making sure everything runs smoothly and accurately. Your work will help shape important business decisions and keep things on track. Day-to-day, you'll:
* Pull together weekly and monthly management accounts with clear KPIs
* Spot trends and explain differences with variance analysis
* Keep bank and cash reconciliations accurate and up to date
* Handle payroll analysis and journals
* Manage accruals and prepayments
* Check balance sheets and dig into any variances
* Support with budgets, forecasts, and year-end audits
* Help strengthen financial controls through internal audit
Profile
What makes you successful in this role ?
* Qualified by experience or working towards ACCA, CIMA, or AAT
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar role with strong management accounts knowledge
* Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel
* Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
* High attention to detail and accuracy
