We support our team members to reach their full potential in an inclusive environment that values diversity.The RoleReporting to the Despatch Manager and, out of hours, the Shift Manager, the Team Leader is responsible for coordinating shift activity, leading the team, and ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse and despatch operations while maintaining excellent customer service levels.The role requires strong leadership, operational awareness, and a proactive approach to health & safety, performance management, and continuous improvement.Main Duties:Lead Health & Safety by raising hazards, conducting Safety for Life conversations, and supporting accident reporting and investigations while promoting a positive safety cultureAllocate labour and resources effectively to achieve planned workload and service levelsTrain, coach, and mentor Operators across all areas of despatchEnsure adherence to company procedures and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)Deliver regular toolbox talks and support ongoing team engagementProvide daily shift feedback and lead Short Interval Control (SIC) activitiesEnsure all work is carried out safely and in line with site standardsEscalate and communicate supply issues, including contacting key customers out of hours when requiredLiaise cross-functionally to achieve strong OTIF (On Time In Full) performancePerform and oversee forklift-based warehouse duties including palletisation, production take-off, storage, despatch, order picking, loading, sorting, light production tasks, and housekeepingEnsure load plans are completed accurately and on timeProduce delivery documentation and coordinate driver activityMaintain accurate stock movements and locations within the COBIS warehouse management systemCommunicate effectively with the Customer Service teamMaintain stock accuracy, including management of aged stockComplete end-of-shift reporting and monitor shift performanceSupport team performance management, engagement, and developmentLead by example and uphold company standardsKey SkillsPrevious team leadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levelsSelf-motivated with the ability to work using own initiativeGood understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environmentValid forklift truck experience within a fast-paced, high-volume operationProven warehouse or production experienceReliable, motivated, and able to work to deadlines and proceduresPositive attitude with flexibility to work overtime when requiredStrong teamwork skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyWhat We OfferCompetitive salary & benefits, including annual leave, pension, and a Cycle to Work schemeOngoing training and development opportunities24/7 confidential support for you and your familyFlexible working options and family-friendly policiesGuaranteed interview for candidates meeting essential criteria (Disability Confident Employer)Ready to make an impact?
