Design, develop, and validate electronic systems that control Cummins' products, including units, tools, sensors, actuators, and harnesses, for various customer applications. This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2026.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with engineers to learn and support them with validation of calibration for the Engine Control Module (ECM), verification and validation test planning and execution, and troubleshooting of non-conformities.
* Analyze data from field tests, lead troubleshooting, and prepare technical documentation for design reviews.
* Use calibration development and management tools to process parameter changes and work in cross-functional teams to develop products and resolve issues.
Qualifications
* Currently studying a STEM subject (Electromechanical, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) at degree level with an allowance for a 12-month industry placement.
* Enthusiasm and aptitude for new product development and continuous improvement.
* Ability to follow structured problem-solving processes and produce high-quality technical documentation.
* Knowledge of application of Engineering Standards and experience or knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink.
