Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cover Supervisor to join our team of support staff, helping a range of schools in your local area to cover their internal absences. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the learning environment in the absence of a permanent class teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for education and a commitment to providing high-quality support to students and staff. Throughout this role, you will work on a flexible basis. You will be paid between £85 and £100 per day. Responsibilities Supervising and maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment for students in the absence of their regular teacher Distributing and collecting class materials, including textbooks, workbooks, and other resources Facilitating students’ learning by ensuring that they are engaged in the tasks assigned by the absent teacher. Maintaining discipline and managing behavioural issues as they arise Providing support and guidance to students in need of additional assistance Communicating with the class teacher regarding any concerns or issues that may arise during the lesson. Collaborating with other support staff and teachers to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience for all students. You will have no planning or marking responsibilities, you will be provided with pre-set work. Qualifications and Skills Experience working in an educational setting, preferably as a teaching assistant or cover supervisor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage and maintain a positive learning environment.
