Venue Cymru is the regions busiest arts and events centre, comprising of a 1,500 seat theatre, 2,500 capacity arena and a full range of high-quality conference and event spaces. We present a diverse arts programme, from West End Shows to our own Young Creatives performances, and host high profile conferences and events throughout the year. We are now recruiting for a competent Events Crew to join our dedicated Technical team.
You must be self-motivated, conscientious and have a flexible approach to work in a demanding environment both as part of a team and working unsupervised. You will undertake a variety of duties throughout the complex including preparation of rooms for occupation of Conference, Exhibition and Meeting Events, clearing and storing furniture and equipment and general maintenance duties as well as assisting with get-ins, running and get-outs for theatre productions.
A high standard of presentation and attention to detail are key requirements as is an understanding of theatrical terminology. Previous experience of working in a similar environment would be an advantage, however training will be given.
This is a permanent part time post, with the hours of work being on an annualised hours contract working for an average of 24 hours a week arranged in accordance with the agreed system of working on a shift rota basis and includes weekend, evening and bank holiday working.
To ensure adequate bilingual provision within the section, the ability to communicate in English is essential and the ability to converse in Welsh would be desirable for this post.
