About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Power & Environment Engineer to join our field-based engineering team. You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role requiring travel across the region and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems
* Install, commission, and maintain power systems including generators, UPSs, ACBs, HVAC units, and static switches
* Test and validate new and existing systems to ensure performance and compliance
* Respond to service outages and participate in a 24/7 on-call rota
* Support upgrades and modifications to infrastructure
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and SHE policies
* Collaborate with internal teams and third-party contractors
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
* Stay up to date with industry standards and technical developments
Essential Requirements
* City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition
* Field service experience or completed electrical apprenticeship
* Strong working knowledge of power systems, including generators, UPSs, HVAC, ACBs, and static switches
* Familiarity with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) legislation
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
