Overview
As the Team Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day operations of the North Older People’s Team, ensuring services are delivered effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of our residents and their carers while complying with statutory duties and relevant policies.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of social workers and social care practitioners, providing supervision, annual appraisal, guidance and support.
* Manage all interventions by Social Workers and Social Care Practitioners through caseload management, supporting and developing staff, providing expert advice and managing performance.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money.
* Foster strong partnerships with other agencies, service providers and stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Fluency Duty
You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public. The role requires English fluency as outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers.
Employment Conditions
Successful applicants will be subject to pre‑engagement checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. If an individual has a declared criminal offence, an assessment will be completed in accordance with the DBS code of practice. The Council adheres to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
