Overview
AJM Healthcare is a leading provider of wheelchair & community equipment services to the NHS and the Private Sector, with over 35 years of experience. The role is for a Clinical Lead within the Integrate Wheelchair Service, offering expert clinical leadership, operational performance delivery, and opportunities to drive continuous quality improvement. The post involves supporting a team of clinicians and working with the clinical director and other AJM wheelchair services to promote service quality and engagement with national bodies.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the clinical foundation of the service within the clinical governance structure, including applying clinical policies and procedures, clinical supervision, caseload management and clinical audit
* Manage, coach, lead, and develop staff on a day-to-day basis
* Empower the team to achieve results within a structured approach, ensuring accountability and promoting interdisciplinary working
* Ensure clinical competency and high standards of practice in line with local, national and regulatory policy
* Promote the service across the county, working with the partnership and engagement team to involve service users and collaborate with other agencies
* Lead the clinical development of the service in line with national guidelines and evolving evidence
* Collaborate with the service management team to meet key performance indicators
* Lead with advanced clinical reasoning to fit and adjust equipment to meet user needs, including instruction on safe use and care of equipment
* Manage your own clinical caseload and plan the rota for the clinical team in coordination with customer services
* Provide holistic assessment of service users, determine needs across physical, sensory, cognitive, perceptual and social functioning, and refer onward as appropriate
Qualifications
* Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Engineering qualification
* HCPC, RCT or AHCS registration
