You will join a passionate team working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operations and your responsibilities will include:The leadership and oversight of the Business Development and Performance & Improvement functions of the organisationDelivering on the membership and product/services sales targets for the organisation, including overseeing the complete sales pipeline and the development of a sales and improvement cultureEnsuring knowledge is shared effectively across the organisation to improve performanceLeading a team to meet sales targets for membership and non-membership products/services including lead generation driven by internal data/knowledge and external sourcesDelivery of effective sales and marketing plansEnsuring customers are supported to successfully complete business activitiesLeading the marketing and communication of products and services including overall responsibility for the organisational brand and managing external contractsOversight of the communications programmeReporting on effective engagement and sales activitiesProviding the organisation with the Financial, Data, System, Digital and HR functions it needs to reach its potentialEnsuring a culture focused on agile solutions and cross organisation working to secure growth and valueEnsuring compliance with appropriate regulations and legislation including but not limited to data, HR, finance and charityEnsuring the effective recruitment, development and management of their direct reports and directoratesAbout youAs Chief Operating Officer, you must have proven success as a Chief Operating Officer or similar role, leading business development functions, leading performance improvement functions and experience in a performance/target-driven environment and you must be / have:Operated at strategic board level and have a strong and proven track record for delivering resultsHighly motivated self-starter with a focus on outcomes, have a strong personal integrity and accountability and have a personal commitment to promotion of Equality, Diversity and InclusionAbility to create and empower high-performing teams and individualsAbility to envision, shape and direct highly effective operationsCommitment to driving sales, growth and performanceUnderstanding of the context of delivery in a charitable organisationAbility to work collaboratively across other organizational functions to secure outcomesAbout the hours & rewardsThe position of Chief Operating Officer is a permanent hybrid role, working 35 hours and paying between £55,000 to £65,000 per annum (dependent on London or Outside London weighting).
