Job Title : Site Shift Engineer Location : Andover, Hampshire Hours of Work : 3 Rotating Shift Pattern, Monday - Friday covering Early, Lates and Nights Contracted Hours :37.5hrs per week Salary :£53,794 per annum As our next Site Shift Engineer you will provide engineering support across all site processes to ensure production schedules are achieved efficiently and cost-effectively. You will optimise the use of available resources to meet the operational needs of the Engineering department. The successful candidate will Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems, producing accurate daily reports. Complete all monthly Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities on schedule. Manage day-to-day engineering issues within the packing process to ensure smooth operations. Carry out and oversee all required Daily Inspections. Provide effective engineering input into ongoing and future project work. Support general site maintenance activities as required. Report production downtime promptly to the Engineering Manager. Assist in maintaining system backups and uphold high standards of housekeeping; keep all records up to date. Ensure compliance with company standards, product quality requirements, HACCP, Health & Safety, environmental regulations, and all legislative obligations. Work closely with the Engineering Administrator to manage ordering of spare parts and materials What we need from you Essential Skills & Experience Completed Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or above). Strong understanding of electrical circuits, including 24v and 110v systems. Proven fault-finding and diagnostic abilities. Competent across a broad range of technical skills, including mechanical work, pneumatics, and fabrication. Ability to carry out repairs, corrective actions, and equipment modifications. Minimum of 5 years experience working in a manufacturing process environment. Experience in general engineering repairs and maintenance. Desirable HNC qualification in Engineering or a related discipline. 18th Edition Electrical Certification. Strong computer literacy and ability to use engineering-related software and systems. Working knowledge of COSHH and HACCP requirements. Understanding of food safety standards and practices. Awareness of DSEAR regulations.
