Team Manager - Next Steps team (Care experienced young people)
The role is based on the Isle of Wight with agile and flexible work practices. The office location is County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight.

Job Description:
We seek a passionate, experienced, and dynamic Team Manager to lead our Next Steps team, supporting care-experienced young people up to age 25. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of high-quality services through a team of personal advisers. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of children’s services and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of personal advisers, providing supervision, support, and professional development.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Participate actively in the Corporate Parenting Board.
* Develop and enhance the services offered to care-experienced young people.
* Monitor and evaluate team performance to maintain high standards of practice.
* Collaborate with agencies and professionals to promote children's welfare.
* Manage budgets and resources efficiently to deliver cost-effective services.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as needed.
Requirements:
* Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
* Significant experience in children’s services.
* Proven leadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong knowledge of legislation and best practices.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
