Abbey Veterinary Group are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and driven experienced *small animal veterinary surgeon* to join our lovely supportive team. We are a mixed practice with sites in both Paisley and Greenock. We are proud to provide our own out-of-hours service which is covered by our wonderful team of mixed vets. This allows our small animal role to accommodate no out of hours and one in four weekends. The surrounding areas have good transport links to Glasgow and are within easy access to many of the beautiful lochs and Munros to enjoy on your time off. With a 44 year range of experience in our team there is always someone available for advice and support, we have colleagues working towards equine and medicine certificates as well as an ophthalmology certificate holder. We have all the usual apparatus and offer laparoscopic procedures. As a practice we are 80% small and 20% large, you would be joining a lively team of small animal vets, mixed vets, RVN’s, ACA’s, Reception and support staff. We are part of Vet Partners and have a large support network out with our own practice which allows opportunity for additional training and resource sharing.*Rota*We are flexible to consider a part time or full-time role, a five day week or compressed hours can also be accommodated. Weekend work (1 in 4) consists of one Saturday shift 08.30-3pm, and a Sunday shift 09.30- 1pm which is emergencies only. The Saturday is worked alongside our mixed vets, the Sunday is sole charge but with nurse and reception staff. We run appointment blocks with time between for phone calls/ lab results. We work an ops shift rota to promote equal opportunity in surgery.*Successful Candidate*Experience is essential and applicants with a range of small and mixed experience for a full or part time position would be considered.
