Join Us as a SHE Advisor (Edgewing)
Location: Reading area. This role can be contracted to any BAE Systems site, preferably Frimley, but will initially be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. We understand that relocation can be a big step, so a financial support package may be available based on certain criteria. While we anticipate a need for mostly on-site work, we’re open to discussing flexible working arrangements—just ask your recruiter about the options!
Salary: £53,211 (dependent on skills and experience)
Your Mission:
As a SHE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our safety culture. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Develop and implement proactive Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) risk management strategies, including regular workplace risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
* Monitor compliance with HSE legislation, ensuring our joint venture aligns with the latest industry standards and best practices.
* Collaborate with training partners to deliver effective SHE-related training, regularly updating programs to meet evolving needs.
* Design and implement initiatives that support employee well-being, including mental health support and ergonomic assessments.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety level 6 or equivalent.
* Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
* Experience in establishing health and safety management systems.
Desirable:
* Experience working with global partners.
* Previous team leadership experience.
* Knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO50001 certifications.
