The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lanpro and support our Regional Director of Planning in the growth of the Lanpro Group. We are looking for a commercially focused, client‑facing candidate with the technical abilities to account‑manage key projects at a senior level with the wider multidisciplinary team.
We are a 150‑strong team nationwide and are equipped to deliver projects at any scale. The Associate Director will be tasked with developing and generating opportunities across all our sectors (including Residential, Commercial, Assets and Estates) and generating opportunities with new and existing clients.
The position will involve:
* Taking the lead on Lanpro’s client‑centric agenda for the role holder’s area of skillset (planning) both internally and externally.
* Having strong client liaison and relationship‑building skills to generate new opportunities whilst optimising existing relationships to seek further work from prior excellent project outcomes.
* Strong networking, business‑development and the ability to build contacts across the industry and with key contacts in local planning authorities.
* Identifying targets and establishing and consolidating new and existing clients and colleagues.
* Contributing to winning presentations and producing final reports and presentations for tenders and clients.
* Using technical knowledge to identify and realise client opportunities through both tried‑and‑tested and innovative methods.
* Responsibility for negotiating significant fee agreements with customers/clients or suppliers/contractors, including managing contractual aspects.
* Effectively managing significant and complex projects to a high standard.
* Taking a key role in projects within the relevant specialised field and providing technical leadership.
