Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in supporting and improving production processes across the site. Responsibilities include:
* Creating, modifying and optimising CNC programmes and tooling data to improve efficiency.
* Supporting feasibility studies and contributing engineering input during production planning.
* Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement in quality, cost and delivery.
* Working closely with external tooling suppliers to identify cost‑saving and performance improvements.
* Leading engineering tasks and projects from concept through to implementation.
* Providing hands‑on technical support to production teams during set‑ups and live manufacturing.
* Undertaking additional engineering duties as required to support operational goals.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be expected to apply practical problem‑solving skills and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this Manufacturing Engineer role, you will ideally have:
* Experience with CNC turning and milling, including CNC programming (Fanuc experience advantageous).
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
