Your role:
We are currently recruiting for two Portfolio Officers to join us on an 18 Month fixed term contract.
The roles will be key to developing, improving, and delivering effective PMO services to our largest strategic transformation programme.
This presents a great opportunity to work with stakeholders both within and outside of the programme at all levels of the organisation, whilst continually offering subject matter expertise.
The ideal candidate will have a real desire to get stuck in and make the role their own, someone that can identify problems and provide pragmatic solutions. Provide the governance, visibility and support required to deliver a successful programme
What you’ll be doing:
• Support the Programme Director and PMO Manager to deliver the objectives of Wesleyan’s largest transformation programme
• Embed effective programme governance and control to drive positive action and timely decision making
• Drive the development and delivery of programme reporting, both at headline and workstream level, providing critical insight to leaders up to C-suite level
• Deliver effective identification and management of RAIDs, work with the programme team and other stakeholders to identify and track effective solutions and mitigations
• Liaise with Workstream Leads and Programme Managers to identify and monitor dependencies between workstreams
• Support the effective delivery of enterprise PMO control processes focussed on effective resourcing, dependency management and the safe landing of change into our business
We’re looking for:
· A seasoned PMO professional with a proven track record, ideally within financial services
· Demonstrable understanding of PMO governance, functions and services including planning, reporting, resourcing, budgeting, and risk management
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make recommendations based on soft and hard data; an ability to factor in the political and operational realities when making decisions.
· Ability to communicate credibly and build trusted partner relationships with every level of an organisation.
· Experience of building positive working relationships by securing buy-in and commitment from others both inside and outside of your immediate team.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Advanced level in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable :
· Project management or PMO qualification e.g. APMP or Prince II
