Position: Environmental Engine Protection Engineer

Role Overview: The Performance & Environmental Protection Engineer (EPPEPE) is part of the Global Mechanical Systems Capability. The role involves designing, simulating, and verifying engines and aircraft at the system level to predict and verify emergent system attributes resulting from subsystem integration. Activities include model development from engineering first principles, thermodynamic simulation, empirical modeling, CFD assessment, understanding certification requirements, and physical testing. The role also requires integration skills to coordinate requirements, data, and product understanding across stakeholders, including internal teams, regulatory authorities, and customers.

Responsibilities:
1. Define the product cycle.
2. Predict and analyze product attributes at the system level.
3. Manage requirements from internal and external customers.
4. Provide data for subsystem design and development.
5. Define and manage system and interface requirements.
6. Analyze product and aircraft interactions.
7. Assess real-world operation and customer usage data.
8. Manage relationships with stakeholders.
Candidate Profile:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical design, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and related disciplines.
* Ability to apply analytical and innovative thinking to technical problems.
* Knowledge of product integrity, liability, and certification frameworks.
* Membership of a relevant professional body; Chartered status is preferred in the UK.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
