We are looking for Senior Project Managers and Associate Project Managers with a history of delivering in the Water industry to join our Infrastructure Project Management team. The role supports projects within the recently announced £88bn AMP8 investment period, with opportunities across the North, Midlands, Scotland regions and nationwide frameworks with government bodies.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary, complex projects within collaborative delivery teams.
* Provide effective support and mentoring to Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices.
* Establish and maintain governance for project delivery, defining roles, responsibilities and accountabilities aligned with organisational practice.
* Manage client-side project activities including stakeholder, H&S, risk, quality, schedule, and contract management.
* Deliver projects to client satisfaction in terms of quality, cost, and time.
* Support and manage project resources to meet client and business requirements.
* Coordinate subcontractors and resources remote from the core project team.
* Develop strong client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients.
* Manage submission of project management bids.
Qualifications
* Infrastructure project management experience; Water industry experience desirable.
* Experience with NEC contracts, particularly PSC and ECC; NEC ECC Accredited is preferred.
* Experience working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Highly motivated with a growing industry network.
* Strong relationship-building skills with clients, teams and stakeholders; ability to network with business contacts.
* Ability to work on own initiative while collaborating with Senior Project Managers and Associates.
* Team player with a can-do attitude, adaptable, diplomatic and respectful.
* Experience working within a client organisation or through co-location/secondment arrangements.
* Excellent IT skills and use of current digital tools; strong numeracy and written/verbal communication.
* Experience preparing bid submissions; ability to manage client relationships internally and externally.
* Prior team and line management experience with clear leadership skills.
Education and Professional Qualifications
* Minimum 6 years of proven experience in a consulting environment providing full PM services (chairing meetings, minuting, developing PEP, progress reports, tender documentation, and post-contract administration).
* Relevant degree in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
* Demonstrable experience with NEC3 and NEC4 contract management.
* Project management qualifications such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2 are desirable.
* Member of a related professional body (preferred chartered status with APM, CIOB, ICE, RICS).
* You may be required to undertake security screening checks.
