Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead (RGN) to oversee the clinical governance and delivery of high-quality care across complex care packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care for clients with complex health needs in community settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and oversight across all complex care packages
* Conduct clinical assessments, risk assessments, and care planning
* Lead and support clinical supervision and competency assessments for nursing and care staff
* Ensure compliance with CQC standards, policies, and best practice guidelines
* Review and monitor clinical incidents, safeguarding concerns, and escalations
* Support with onboarding, clinical interviews, and inductions of new staff
* Deliver and oversee clinical training (e.g. tracheostomy, PEG, ventilator care)
* Liaise with families, MDT (GPs, community nurses, case managers), and stakeholders
* Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting
* Support continuous quality improvement and audit processes
Essential Requirements
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
* Minimum 3–5 years post-registration experience
* Experience within complex care / community care settings
* Strong knowledge of:
* Tracheostomy care
* PEG feeding
* Ventilation (e.g. BiPAP/CPAP)
* Experience in clinical supervision and staff competency assessments
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding
Desirable
* Experience in a lead or senior clinical role
* Teaching or mentoring experience
* Full UK driving licence
