What we are looking for
We seek an experienced Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join our Perth team. You will develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and initiatives to ensure compliance, minimize impacts, and promote sustainability.
* Support the delivery of sustainability action plans
* Provide expert advice on environmental matters, championing best practices and compliance
* Collaborate with operations, engineering, and health & safety teams to integrate environmental considerations
* Conduct audits, assessments, and inspections to identify improvements and ensure policy adherence
* Investigate environmental incidents, implement lessons learned, and communicate findings
* Utilize environmental data to identify trends and develop reports for management
* Work with regulatory agencies, consultants, and clients on permits, reporting, and compliance
* Create and present environmental training and awareness campaigns
* Assess risks and opportunities, and develop environmental management plans for projects
* Stay updated on environmental trends, technologies, and regulations
* Assist in setting and achieving sustainability goals and initiatives
What you need to be successful
You should hold a Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with relevant certifications (e.g., IEMA, IEEM / CIWEM) and have at least 3 years of proven experience. You need a strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices, with analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret environmental data and occasional travel to sites is required. A commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility is essential.
