About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Targeted Early Help Locality Team as we are recruiting for:

* 1 x Full-Time Early Help Practitioner
* 1 x Part-Time Early Help Practitioner (0.7 FTE) with a specific focus on Domestic Abuse, working as part of the wider Domestic Abuse (DVA) offer, alongside our Domestic Abuse Practitioners within Early Help.

What it's like working in our team

We are a dedicated and fast-paced team working across our locality areas. We work closely with schools, Children's Social Care, Health Services and the Third Sector to contribute to the best possible outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Your contribution will have a big impact, and you will be trusted to work both independently and as part of a strong, supportive team. The work is varied, fast-paced and sometimes challenging, with opportunities to develop creative, strength-based and innovative solutions.

We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive candidates with experience of working with children (minimum 19 years) and families needing support across a range of areas. You must be able to demonstrate a patient, engaging approach and a desire to empower families to make positive changes, helping them reach their potential through effective multi‑agency working. This ensures the right service is delivered at the right time for each family.


The role involves

* Working directly with children and families
* Completing Early Help Assessments
* Formulating plans of support
* Working with multi‑agency partners
* Leading multi‑agency Team Around the Family meetings and reviewsDirect intervention with children and their families


Hours

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week (pro rata for the 0.7 FTE Domestic Abuse role), based around the usual business week of 8:45 to 17:00. Depending on service requirements, you may be required to work flexibly outside of these hours to meet families’ needs.
