Category Buyer required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with multiple worldwide locations employing 1000 + staff, renowned for quality and innovative deliverables. The successful Category Buyer will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse. Key Responsibilities of the Category Buyer will include: Manage a portfolio of commodities and suppliers, ensuring value for money and optimising supplier performance. Develop and represent the supply chain department Provide input and forecasts on supply relating to specific projects Introduce strategies to effectively manage current and future supply chains Conduct supplier evaluations including business reviews, supplier visits, contract and SLA reviews.
