We are seeking, on behalf of our esteemed client, a Production Operative to join their existing team. The Glass Toughener will be responsible for toughening the glass product using a machine. The ideal candidate will have experience working with glass.
Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
Assemble frames out of spacer bars, ready to be sealed on to double glazed windows
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Marking out dimensions using patterns
Marking out dimensions using patterns, scribing around the pattern or straight edge using cutting tools
Smoothing out rough edges with a belt sander
Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents
Ability to follow the standard operating procedures in place to maintain safety and quality
Maintain equipment.
Maintain a safe, organised, and clean work area
Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
