In this role, you'll work towards your Level 4 Software Developer qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships A day in the job - Maximo Developer Development and Configuration Design, develop, and maintain Maximo solutions using automation scripts, Java, and configuration-based customisation Develop logical, maintainable, and efficient code in line with organisational and IBM best practices Configure Maximo components including applications, workflows, object structures, domains, and escalations Build and enhance back-end and integration components to support business processes Integrate Maximo with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware Manage and query data using SQL Source Control and Deployment Contribute to code and configuration repositories using Git and DevOps tooling Create and manage migration packages across environments (Development, Test, UAT, Production) Support release activities including deployment validation and post-release fixes Project and Task Management Track and manage development tasks, defects, and enhancements using enterprise work management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps) Provide estimates and technical input for change requests and project work Collaborate with functional consultants, testers, and stakeholders Testing and Quality Assurance Identify, investigate, and resolve defects across unit, system, and integration levels Support functional and non-functional testing, including performance and security testing Ensure solutions meet functional requirements and maintain system stability Learning and Continuous Development Engage in continuous self-learning to maintain and improve Maximo and integration skills Keep up to date with IBM Maximo product updates and best practices Work towards relevant IBM certifications as required Salary, Hours&Benefits: Salary £21,000 Fully Remote Role This role is permanent, working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week 33 Days Annual Leave (includes Public Holidays) Optional Membership to BUPA Healthcare Scheme Cycle to Work Scheme Company Pension Scheme Electric Vehicle Scheme Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge: Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java etc Experience querying and analysing data using SQL Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development practices (e.g. Git-based repositories) Understanding of integrated development environments, particularly those commonly used with Java-based platforms (e.g. Eclipse) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a development and delivery team Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning GCSE's (Maths B equivalent), English C) Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships Learn to create, test, and implement code as part of a professional software development team. You'll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
