Waste and Resources Lead Shift Times: Monday- Friday 40HPW Pay Rate: £315 per day Location: Bridgwater TA6 4FJ Job Purpose / Overview The Waste and Resources Lead will be part of a team of Environmental Management professionals reporting to the Site Environment & Sustainability Manager. This role will be entirely dedicated to supporting the waste management requirements of the HPC Project both at HPC and further-a-field. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the waste contract for the site is managed in technically compliant manner, whilst at the same time delivering the best outcomes commercially and environmentally for the Project. A successful candidate will be supported by the wider Environment & Sustainability team, and the Waste Management Contractor who manage and assure the compliance aspects of waste management. To succeed you will need In depth knowledge of waste legislation and proven experience within a large-scale construction, or other high hazard industrial waste management environment. Detailed working knowledge of Technical Guidance WM3 and advanced waste classification. Project management experience of managing significant work packages and budgets from a technical standpoint. Proven track record of delivery within a large project environment. Ability to develop a strategy and deliver projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and experience of positive stakeholder engagement internally and externally. Proven ability to deal with complex issues and work within our local supply chain vision, creating a one team ethos. Ability to manage large data sets, and prepare a range of environmental, contractual and financial reports. Desirable Degree standard education or recent relevant technical experience working at a similar level in a related industrial setting. NEC3 Contract training. Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM). Current CIWM (WAMITAB) Level 4 Qualification. Member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Managers or Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment.
