Pay and Contract
£109,725 – £145,478 per annum, Permanent, Full‑time
Key Responsibilities
* Provide cover for both obstetrics and gynaecology across Winchester, Basingstoke and Andover sites
* Deliver early pregnancy and rapid access gynaecology care (Post 1) or maternal medicine and fetal medicine (Post 2)
* Perform obstetric ultrasound scanning and manage emergencies independently
* Lead and supervise junior staff, contribute to audits and service reviews
* Participate in multidisciplinary teams and support on‑call commitments (1 in 9 non‑resident duty)
Essential Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent, MRCOG or equivalent
* Full GMC registration and entry on the Specialist Register (or CCT within 6 months of interview)
* Advanced Labour‑ward ATSM and specialist ATSM experience
* Demonstrated expertise in fetal medicine (Post 2) or gynaecology scanning (Post 1)
* Accredited neonatal and adult resuscitation training within 12 months
Desirable Qualifications
* MOET or PROMPT instructor
* Experience in emergency drill training and teaching that led to audit improvement
* Publications or presentations at regional or national level

* Independent clinical decision‑making and patient care accountability
* Effective prioritisation and workload organisation
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with demonstrated leadership under pressure
Other Requirements
* Compassionate, sensitive clinician with a good record of clinical governance
* Willingness to travel between sites and cover non‑resident on‑call duties
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
