Our client, a leading global provider of Satellite Communications and IT Support services for the Government, Maritime, and Defence sectors is looking for a Technical Service Manager.
With over 55 years of technical excellence and a global presence, they deliver advanced communications solutions to a diverse range of maritime, offshore, and defence clients. As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Technical Service Manager to lead and oversee their technical service delivery team.
Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of field service engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical support and service.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite communication systems, GMDSS, navigational equipment, VSAT, and integrated bridge systems.
Develop and implement service processes, standards, and procedures to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Coordinate complex retrofit projects and system integrations across multiple sites and vessels.
Liaise with clients, manufacturers, and internal departments to resolve technical issues and ensure timely project delivery.
Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and foster the professional development of engineering staff.
Manage service schedules, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and marine/offshore regulations.
What They Are Looking For:
Proven leadership experience in a technical service management or senior engineering role.
Strong technical knowledge of satellite communications, marine electronics, and navigation systems.
Previous experience within maritime, defence, or offshore industries.
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to manage complex projects and balance multiple priorities.
Relevant qualifications in Electronic, Electrical or Marine Engineering (HNC/ONC/NVQ or equivalent).
Valid driving licence and passport.
Ability to travel when required.
