SAFRAN ELECTRICAL & POWER UK LTD recrute:
The TLS Engineer will serve as the primary technical support for Engineering investigations related to Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Programs, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and Quality. This role directly enhances customer satisfaction by ensuring on-time product delivery and resolving technical queries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. No direct reports, but will supervise and be responsible for the work of other engineers and contractors, holding technical accountability.
2. Influence product profitability and competitiveness regarding NRC/RC & DMC, without managing a budget.
3. Review and approve design activities created by themselves and others.
4. Coordinate engineering activities, including detailed investigations supporting production and in-service products.
5. Make technical decisions and serve as the prime interface internally and externally, managing requirements and deliverables.
6. Collaborate with UK and US engineering teams to resolve technical issues aligning with technical authority.
7. Act as the engineering focal point for operations and product support within SEP, maintaining clear communication of engineering activities.
8. Ensure investigation action plans are well-structured, managed, and substantiated for quick program decisions.
9. Maintain technical quality of work delivered by themselves and others, including external engineers.
10. Represent engineering at daily production escalation meetings to provide proactive support and feedback.
11. Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and the Engineering team.
12. Align with the Configuration Management team and participate in change management reviews for in-service modifications.
13. Contribute to budget forecasting activities.
14. Lead projects to improve reliability and FTPR based on Pareto analysis.
15. Support SQA and SRPM in supplier investigations for design issues.
16. Support Local Bond MRB and ensure timely QN actions.
17. Lead and complete PRs/CRS and permits promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
* Self-sufficient and motivated.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all staff levels.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Extensive experience with design, especially rotating equipment, shafts, bearings, seals, and structures.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software and MS Office suite.
* Knowledge of electrical machines, engineering materials, and production methods.
* Ability to produce cost-effective, manufacturable designs.
* Good time management and prioritization skills.
* Capability to produce and deliver technical presentations.
* Proficiency in English, demonstrated through certification or passing an online test.
