Involve Recruitment are in search of a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator for our client a commercial new build and refurbishment contractor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and budgeting phases of various projects, ensuring that all costs are accurately calculated and controlled. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control principles and the ability to evaluate project specifications and requirements effectively.\nMUST BE CANDIDATES BASED IN SOUTH WALES!\nDuties\n * Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for materials, labour, and overhead costs.\n * Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for cost estimation.\n * Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data relevant to the estimation process.\n * Develop comprehensive cost control strategies to monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.\n * Prepare detailed reports and presentations of estimates for management review.\n * Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.\n * Update estimates as necessary based on changes in project scope or market conditions.\nExperience\n * Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.\n * Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.\n * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information.\n * Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.\n * Knowledge of cost control practices is essential; familiarity with industry standards is advantageous.\n * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.\nIf you are passionate about delivering accurate estimates and contributing to successful project outcomes, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity
