Offer description

Overview

As a Housekeeping Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the heart of everything you do. We care for Residents across Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist homes. By joining HC-One, you’ll help give something back through care, respect, and attention to detail. You’ll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming home, and your work will make a real difference every day.

Responsibilities

* Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
* Following cleaning schedules and tasks set by the team lead
* Using products safely and following hygiene procedures
* Supporting infection control and safety standards
* Helping with laundry and linen care
* Reporting any issues or repairs as needed

You’ll take pride in your work and keep everything spotless. Whether you’re ticking off tasks or lending a hand, you’ll do it with care and compassion.

Some housekeeping experience is helpful, but full training is provided. You’ll need to be organised, manage your time well, and work with attention to detail. Most of all, you’ll bring a positive attitude and be kind and respectful in every conversation—with Residents, visitors, and your team.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs that may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect, and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

About HC-One

At HC-One, kindness is more than a word—it's a way of life. We believe caring for people means caring about what matters most to them, so we can support them to live their best possible lives. To provide kindest possible care, everyone at HC-One embraces five key qualities we call Kindness the HC-One Way:

* We are curious — asking questions and seeking to understand.
* We are compassionate — walking in the shoes of others.
* We are creative — finding practical ways to make things happen.
* We are courageous — supporting residents to live the life they choose.
* We are dependable — people can always count on us.

We champion inclusivity, foster a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to be themselves. Our diverse workforce helps us learn from one another and better reflect the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and prioritise inclusive working practices across everything we do.

We are enhancing the way we support residents through digital care planning. This technology helps streamline care, improve outcomes, and make daily tasks more efficient. We’ll support you as you adapt to technology or learn new skills.

We care about our colleagues and are committed to supporting your personal and professional development. From the moment you receive a job offer, we aim for a quick start with full support. With clear career pathways, continuous professional development, and postgraduate programmes, HC-One will invest in your growth and opening opportunities regionally and nationally.

Please note: We can only consider applications from individuals who already have the full right to work in the UK. We cannot offer sponsorship or accept applications from those on a time-limited visa. Applications that do not meet this criteria will not be progressed.
