The Opportunity We are currently seeking Site Agents to join our Clients team delivering projects within the Thames Water Framework, with immediate opportunities available at the Cricklade site. As a Site Agent, you will take ownership of civil engineering projects within our Infrastructure Business Unit (Water division), managing them from contract award through to successful completion. Your focus will be on ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are maintained while achieving the project’s commercial and programme objectives. You will report to either a Contracts Manager or Project Manager, depending on the scale and complexity of the project and your level of experience. Key Responsibilities Manage site resources and allocate staff effectively to ensure efficient project delivery. Monitor and report progress against programme and budget to senior management. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and implement safe systems of work. Enforce and monitor the company’s Quality Assurance and Environmental Management systems. Oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring key milestones and client expectations are met. Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders regarding project progress and performance. Provide direct line management and support to Sub Agents and General Foremen. Indirectly supervise Site Engineers, Foremen, and Gangers, ensuring alignment with project goals. What We’re Looking For Essential: Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Desirable: Chartered or actively working towards chartered status (e.g., ICE, CIOB). Practical post-graduate training in areas such as contract administration, formwork, concrete technology, and health & safety. Proven track record in delivering technically complex projects for major clients (e.g., Thames Water, Highways England, LUL, petrochemical sector). Clear progression from an engineering role through to Site Agent, supported by both hands-on and theoretical experience. Site qualifications: CSCS card, SMSTS (5-day), First Aid at Work (4-day), National Water Hygiene card.
