Wallands Community Primary and Nursery school is looking for someone to play a key role in the senior leadership team of the school.
The post holder will be an ambitious and nurturing leader who is passionate about ensuring all our pupils get what they need to thrive and achieve their full potential, by working to find effective solutions to any barriers that they may face.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
Qualified Teacher Status and teaching experience across the primary range.
Experience as a SENCO or in a leadership role within a specialist setting and hold a National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination (NASENCo) or the National Professional Qualification for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (NPQSENCo).
A genuine passion for inclusion and creating an environment where all pupils can thrive.
Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCPs, leading on Annual Reviews and provision mapping.
Proven ability to lead, manage and develop teaching assistants and staff.
Experience working with parents, local authorities and external agencies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Commitment to champion inclusion for all pupils.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
