We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Private Markets Funds legal team, supporting the growth and diversification of our Luxembourg‑domiciled private markets fund range. As part of a collaborative and high‑impact legal function, you’ll help deliver legal, regulatory and governance support across a broad spectrum of private markets products, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. This is an excellent opportunity to develop deep expertise in a fast‑growing area while contributing to strategic initiatives across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
* Delivering legal support across the full lifecycle of AIFs, unregulated collective investment schemes, joint ventures and partnership structures
* Assisting with launching new funds and new fund umbrellas across private markets infrastructure, private credit and venture capital asset classes
* Drafting, negotiating and updating fund documentation, and engaging with fund service providers
* Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and shaping strategic responses for the business
* Managing relationships with external counsel and overseeing aspects of the legal budget
* Providing legal risk assessments and advising internal teams and fund boards on effective mitigation strategies
* Supporting regulatory change projects and advising on relevant governance requirements
* Providing governance support and advising boards on governance matters
Who we’re looking for
* A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising certificate
* Experience in private markets funds law and regulation within asset management or financial services
* Familiarity with AIFM regulation, Luxembourg fund structures and associated governance
* Experience negotiating agreements with fund service providers (e.g., Administration, Depositary, AIFM, IM)
* Strong academic background and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and comfort engaging with individuals at all levels
* A proactive, organised individual able to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
* A commercially aware, solution‑focused team player with a positive, collaborative approach
