Band 7 Sonographer – 37 hours

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious Sonographer to join our radiology team across NHS Lothian. Candidates with a wide range of ultrasound competencies are welcome. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Small Parts, and General Ultrasound, including outpatient and inpatient work at Western General Hospital, St John’s Hospital, Simpson Maternity, Primary Care, and Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
This position supports service expansion across all sites and provides a great career prospect to broaden experience in various ultrasound scanning areas.
The successful applicant must be flexible, working with a variety of equipment, including GE, Samsung, Canon, and Philips systems.
Participation in cross-site working, 5/7 rosters, and coverage for evening and weekend shifts are required.
We welcome candidates with diverse ultrasound competencies and relevant postgraduate qualifications. Applications from Sonographers with experience in one clinical area or trainee Sonographers with a pending PG Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound are also considered.
