Location:
Hybrid. Admin working from home with project delivery in Manchester and across the North West.
Contract Type:
Part-time (flexible hours). 1-year fixed term contract with the view to extend based on performance and availability of funding (with 3-month probation period).
Hours:
Flexible. Usually 2 days/week (15 hours), including Monday Staff Team Meeting (online) & Kantos rehearsals/concerts (often at weekends).
Salary:
£28,000–£30,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

We are seeking a Production Manager to join our small, dedicated team to ensure the successful delivery of the choir's artistic programme and smooth running of all its performances, rehearsals, recordings and events.
Role Description
You will oversee the operational planning and execution of concerts and projects, working closely with the Company Director, Creative Director, Marketing Team and our artists.
You will liaise with venues, festivals, and suppliers, coordinate schedules, and provide practical solutions under pressure. Strong organisational skills, experience in live production or stage management, and excellent communication are essential. This role calls for creativity, adaptability, and close attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Coordination
* Develop and maintain project timelines, rehearsal schedules, and performance plans.
* Coordinate availability and booking of singers, conductors, and collaborators.
* Liaise with venues, promoters, and partners regarding logistical arrangements.
* Manage project budgets and assist with financial tracking.
Production and Delivery
* Oversee production logistics including rehearsal space, transport, equipment hire, and technical needs.
* Ensure smooth delivery of performances, acting as a key point of contact on the day.
* Prepare and distribute production schedules, call sheets, and event briefs.
* Manage the music library and co-ordinate music purchase, hire and distribution.
* Manage contracts and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
Communication and Administration
* Act as liaison between artists, creative teams, and operational stakeholders.
* Maintain efficient systems for project planning, documentation, and reporting.
* Support funding applications with logistical information and planning detail.
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure event listings and materials are accurate and
timely.

Essential:
* Proven experience in arts administration, production management, or event planning.
* Outstanding organisational and time-management skills.
* Competent IT and administrative skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A calm, solutions-focused approach to working under pressure.

Desirable:
* Experience in classical music or working with professional musicians.
* Familiarity with contracts, budgets, and tour planning.

* Knowledge of the UK arts sector, especially in the North of England.
