Speech and Language Therapy Clinical Assistant
Dorset HealthCare are looking for a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our supportive team! You will be joining the Dorset Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy service, based at Blandford Hospital, working across North Dorset and Wareham. Patients are seen in outpatient clinics, on hospital wards and in their own homes.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy team, providing high‑quality, person‑centred rehabilitation and support to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.
* Follow the direction of qualified clinicians to implement planned treatment interventions and assist in the development of programmes of care.
* Provide confidential administration, secretarial and IT support to the Community Speech and Language Therapy Service.
* Take responsibility for the maintenance and preparation of the communication aids used within the service.
* Support flexible working arrangements, including a hybrid model of working from home and in the office, and ensure that service needs are met across the working days.

* Receive support from Speech and Language Therapists, a team manager and clinical lead.
* Benefit from CPD opportunities, regular supervision and peer supervision.
* Opportunity to work with SLT assistants and local adult acute SLT teams; the paediatric SLT community team is available for development.
Requirements
* Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which the Trust will cover.
* Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
* Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
