What will you be doing?
As a Commissioning Engineer Apprentice at CMDP, you will be gaining first-hand experience in a diverse and dynamic environment. Working at CMDP offers a unique opportunity to be part of projects that not only advance technological frontiers but also ensure the safety and sustainability of the Water supply and wastewater management treatment.
You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by your local team and line manager, and you will be given time to carry out your studies with the provider etc. Your on-the-job training will be in line with the work available on site but will afford the opportunity to ensure that you are given on site experience required to meet the technical and competency levels in order to achieve your apprenticeship goals.
Working within the Commissioning team you will be an integral part of the delivery of many projects by providing assistance in the following;
1. You will work alongside specialist commissioning engineers, learning and increasing your knowledge. and understanding and gaining real hands-on experience in an engineering environment.
2. Taking part in Factory Acceptance Testing, Setting to Work Activities and observing Site Acceptance Tests representing the principal contractor.
3. Input to commissioning documentation including reviewing FAT, STW and SAT and other commissioning documentation, including Commissioning & Acceptance plans, and Reservations.
4. Take part in contractor meeting with a view to actively leading these with support from your colleagues.
5. Identification of technical solutions to problems encountered on site and supporting the delivery of these.
6. Actively manage and record CPD from on-the-job training and any external learning, in order to provide robust evidence for professional registration/membership and SQEP.
