What the Job Involves This role involves undertaking and managing care proceedings and associated court work, assessing the needs and circumstances of children in corporate care, and developing robust care plans. You will advocate for children and young people, ensuring their rights in decision-making processes, while working collaboratively with families, carers, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies to deliver coordinated support. Promoting placement stability, permanency planning, and successful transitions to independence and adulthood are key responsibilities. Skills Registered with Social Work England Post-qualifying experience in statutory children’s social care Skilled in care planning, court work, and multi-agency collaboration Committed to strengths-based practice and relationship-based social work Sound knowledge of social work support for service users and families Effective communication of complex social issues Ability to plan and coordinate social care plans Motivated by making a genuine difference
