Manchester, UK (2 days onsite, 3 days WFH)
Responsibility
* Support in the management of the audit process: acting as a key liaison for the auditors; coordinating audit deliverables and working with the rest of the team to ensure all relevant deadlines are met.
* Have a working understanding across the whole balance sheet and P&L in order to ensure appropriate accounting standards are applied. Challenge and obtain more detail from others where necessary.
* Preparation of technical accounting papers to address items such as provisions/judgements, implementation of new accounting standards, dividends etc.
* Maintenance of key SOX controls relating to Reporting, including local GAAP to US GAAP checks.
* Help to ensure financial systems and processes are developed and maintained and participate in projects and complete as hoc tasks, as and when required.
* Responsible for leading key monthly management meetings and deliverables.
* Support in the financial review of new contracts.
Knowledge and skills
* ACA qualified (preferred), would consider ACCA/CIMA for the right candidate.
* Experience in a Reporting role.
* UK GAAP and US GAAP experience preferred.
