We build modern, resilient software that first responders and public safety professionals depend on in their most critical moments. From dispatching emergency services to filing reports that shape public policy, our work directly impacts how governments serve their communities—especially those who need it most. We are looking for a Software Engineer focused on integrations who is excited to connect mission-critical systems that help public safety agencies operate more effectively. You’ll design and build robust, scalable solutions that bridge our platform with 911 call centers, state databases, evidence systems, and other essential services—ensuring the right data flows seamlessly across complex environments. What You’ll Do As a member of the integrations engineering team, you’ll build the APIs, data pipelines, and messaging layers that allow our platform to work hand-in-hand with a wide range of third-party systems. Your work will directly enable emergency dispatchers and first responders to get the information they need—faster, more accurately, and with fewer manual steps. If you were on the team last week, you might have: Built a bi-directional data integration between Mark43’s platform and a local agency’s 911 system Designed a scalable approach for ingesting real-time incident data from a third-party provider Collaborated with external technical teams to align on API contracts and data formats Used tools like Postman, Kafka, or custom Java services to monitor and test integration flows Investigated and resolved a failure in a data sync job that impacted real-time updates Participated in a sprint planning session to scope out a new court records integration What You’ll Need We’re looking for a thoughtful and collaborative engineer with 1 years of professional software development experience, ideally including some exposure to system integrations or backend development. You should be motivated by meaningful problems and excited to contribute to tools that help people in the most critical moments of their lives.
