Overview
Precision Fabrications Andover is a family-owned business seeking to recruit an experienced Laser Machine setter/operator to join the team. You'll be responsible for running the laser machine and performing the nesting activity via. the software. This is a key role within the manufacturing process and will suit someone who thrives in a busy environment and has a flexible mind-set.
Duties
-Responsible for setting and operating our Amada Ventis 4Kw Fibre Laser machine.
-Able to use Nesting software maximising material efficiently – currently using Amada VPSS3i software - training will be given.
-Capable of reading engineering drawings and inspecting own work using basic hand-held measuring equipment where specified.
-Taking ownership of the laser machine resource to achieve the production plan.
-Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained through best practice housekeeping.
-Complete all paperwork in accordance with procedures.
Skills
-Proven flatbed laser and nesting experience, minimum of 2 years hands-on programming (nesting software), setting and operating.
-Attention to detail and capable of reviewing product quality and adjusting as necessary.
-Able to work individually or as part of a team.
-Flexible to the changing needs of the business to support customer requirements.
-Ability to communicate clearly any concerns or issues to colleagues and supervisors
-FLT licence required.
-Carry out daily maintenance checks, maintain workplace organisation, participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.

Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
25 days per year holiday entitlement plus bank holidays
Expected hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00 Friday 07:00-13:00
