A Technical Specialist - providing oversight management and technical expertise for clients in the areas where decontamination of re‑usable medical devices is carried out, including Sterile Services Units, Endoscopy Departments, Hospital Wards, ITUs, OPDs, Operating Theatres, Podiatry and Dental services. Additionally, the role requires delivery of accredited decontamination training and education programmes nationally to the healthcare sector, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standard within the AVM quality system and procedures manual to fulfil the Trust’s objectives.
You will act as the Authorised Person (Decontamination) for installed decontamination equipment, as defined by Department of Health guidelines, across NHS Trusts, private healthcare establishments and commercial organisations.
You will ensure compliance with statutory, legislative and NHS guidelines, including NHS Technical Memoranda, Health Building Notes, and relevant International, European and British Standards. All work will be carried out in accordance with the AVM quality system and procedures manual.
You will provide the technical control of the installed decontamination equipment and manage delegated projects within strict statutory and legislative guidelines.
Provide technical support and expert guidance with respect to decontamination equipment, including trend analysis of critical data.

Eligibility
Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full‑time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa. Applicants who hold a Student visa may be considered if:
* They have applied for a Graduate visa.
* They have successfully completed their course and have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of employment.
* They have obtained Sponsorship as a Skilled Worker and will complete their studies within 3 months of the anticipated start date of employment.
