As the Depot Manager you will lead a General Haulage operation developing profitability and performance across a sizeable operation.
The successful candidate will have an operational knowledge of transport while also having sound commercial skills in terms of driving operational profitability
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver improving financial performance for the operation & finding opportunities to increase profitability
* Engage and work closely with key internal stakeholders to improve cohesion
* Improve an already strong customer centric approach with a focus on driver behaviours
* Take full independent compliance responsibility and proactively tackle any issues to ensure highest operational standards
* Ensures that all relevant legislative requirements are adhered to by all staff and standards are at the highest level possible
* Prepare annual budgets and report on monthly financial performance of the operation.
Candidate skillset:
* Experience within either a general haulage or commercial transport operation
* Detailed knowledge of legal compliance and experience independently running a transport operation
* Experience of managing costs/budgets is an advantage
* An ability to build customer relationships is an advantage
Salary:
* You will receive a salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience
